My Career in the Music Industry

My career in the music industry began in the late 90s, fueled by a passion for sound, creativity, and visual storytelling. What started as volunteering at a local music studio soon evolved into a multifaceted career that allowed me to blend my love for music with design. I found myself immersed in the creative process—whether behind the scenes in a studio, crafting album covers, or developing visual identities for artists.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of musicians, bringing their visions to life through both sound and imagery. My experience spans from hands-on studio work to designing artwork that captures the essence of an artist’s sound before a single note is even played.

In previous years, I worked in multiple agencies as a Creative Director, where I was responsible for selecting music for TV and film—essentially acting as a music supervisor. This role allowed me to work closely with producers, artists, and engineers, refining and curating sounds for high-profile projects. At the same time, I continued to design artwork for a variety of artists, further blending my two creative passions.

In the last several years alone, I’ve co-produced five albumsMensajero, Lisieux, Alive, Trapped, and Evermore with Music Producer Iván Galván. While my primary focus is now on production, I still contribute to artwork and liner notes to ensure that the visual and auditory elements of an album are seamlessly aligned. My process revolves around finding inspiration and building on it, working alongside music producers like Iván Galván to help shape and develop unique sounds that push creative boundaries.

One of my most fulfilling collaborations has been with Iván, a talented and versatile musician whose work spans genres including Reggaeton, Dance, Pop, Hip-Hop, Trap, and even Classical Trap. Together, we’ve co-produced music that has been licensed on CBS, NFL, NCAA, and Welch’s, among other major platforms. Seeing our work resonate in such widely recognized spaces has been incredibly rewarding.

With 18+ years of experience in the music industry, my passion remains as strong as ever. Music is more than just sound—it’s an experience, a story, and a connection. Whether through production or design, I thrive on capturing that essence and translating it into something that moves people. And after all these years, I have no plans of stopping. This is a lifelong journey, and I look forward to where it leads next.
